Alka Health Institute Pvt. Ltd., a premiere wing of Alka Hospital Pvt. Ltd. has established a significant legacy in conducting health care education programs in Nepal.
The Institute has an outstanding academic result. It has almost 19 years of conducting health care programs with providing quality education including excellent health services. The college has its own 100 bedded multispecialty hospital. Prominent faculty members, guest lecturers, modern equipments of basic science including skill labs are the attracting features of the college. It has always focused to equip its students with world-class quality education and technical knowledge, humanitarian sensitivity in the field of health care education, and make them professionally competent in their respective areas of study.
The college is located at Dhobighat, Lalitpur. This college was established with a purpose of developing competent and skilled health manpower for hospitals, community, NGOs, INGOs and abroad. Perfection in health care education for quality of life is the vision of this college. Since its establishment, this college is dedicated to deliver high quality education to the students with its sufficient resources for practical as well as theoretical knowledge delivery.
Previously the institute operating under the name Alka Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Alka Institute of Medical Sciences. Now it has been rebranded as Alka Health Institute Pvt. Ltd. due to administrative considerations and institutional development.
Currently, Alka Health Institute runs three major Proficiency Certificate Level health care programs in Nepal.
PCL Nursing: Focuses on patient care, clinical nursing skills, maternal and child health and community health care.
PCL General Medicine (Health Assistant - HA): Trains students in primary health care, diagnosis and treatment of common diseases, emergency care and community medicine.
PCL Medical Lab Technology (CMLT): Covers laboratory diagnostics, pathology, microbiology, hematology and medical testing procedures.
These programs are generally affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and are designed to prepare students for health care service careers in hospitals, clinics, laboratories and community health centers.
